05Questions

What people ask before they call.

Can you come out tonight? A tree just came down.

Yes. greenline tree service is open 24 hours, so you can call (619) 856-7570 any time, day or night, and talk through what happened.

Do I need a permit to remove a tree in San Diego County?

Sometimes. Rules depend on your city and where the tree stands, and street trees in the public right of way are usually handled differently from trees in your yard. Mention your address when you call and we will tell you what to check before work starts.

What happens to the stump after a tree is removed?

Removal and stump grinding are separate jobs. If you want the stump gone, we can grind it down below the surface so the spot can be replanted or turfed over. Ask for both when you call and you get one quote.

How often should my palms be trimmed?

It depends on the species and how fast it grows, but many San Diego palms need attention about once a year to clear dead fronds and seed pods. We can look at yours and tell you honestly if it is due.
